Jerome Cash, M.Ed., LPC, EMDR,ASDCS
Jerome Cash, a Cleveland Heights native and graduate of Lutheran High School East, attended Kentucky State
University his freshman year before transferring to the University of Akron, where he majored in psychology and
graduated. He later earned a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. As a
faith-based Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), CEO, and Co-Founder of Express Not Suppress Foundation in
Greater Cleveland, Ohio, he provides therapeutic and spiritual health services—psycho-spirituality workshops, panel
discussions, facilitations, and crisis trainings—for students, parents, staff, businesses, schools, organizations,
communities, adults, and families. Jerome specializes in trauma-informed care using EMDR, somatic movement
therapy, and ASDCS (Autism/ADHD-specific) approaches to empower adolescents, college students, adults,
couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, somatic pain, relationship
challenges, and neurodivergence. He has an extensive background working with neurodivergent populations and
currently facilitates the NeuroXcel group, a free, open, ongoing monthly meeting for teens and adults with ADHD,
autism, and/or AuDHD.
As a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., he values brotherhood and community connectedness while
serving as Chair of the Alpha Esquires program, mentoring youth in CMSD schools.
At Washington Wellness Institute, Jerome offers trauma-informed care and EMDR in individual, group, and couples
therapy for all ages—designing creative, relatable, culturally sensitive mental health solutions for high school and
college students, adults, and others tackling academic, social, relational, and life demands. His innovative work
includes hip-hop therapy at Peel Dem Layers Back (PDLB) for CMSD students and juveniles at ODYS Indian
River, guiding them through emotions via spoken word and music; facilitating Men’s Night sessions at Ghetto
Therapy (where he received a Certificate of Appreciation); and providing board leadership with A Better Way
Sobriety Housing and L.E.A.D. Awards like Cope Dealer of the Year (PDLB) and Ghetto Therapy facilitator honors
underscore his expertise in trauma, grief, and holding space for healing group support.
As a deacon at East Mount Zion Baptist Church in Cleveland, Jerome serves in youth/teens ministry, leading SWAG
Sunday (Saved With Amazing Grace)—blending mental health discussions, biblical teachings (psycho-spirituality),
activities, and food for teens. Through Growth and Empowerment, LLC, he completes assessments for growth and
empowerment from this location, volunteers with the monthly Lifeline Food Pantry (serving 600+ families via
community routes for vocational work and movement for the NeuroXcel group family), and leads psycho-spiritual
circles for men, families, neurodivergent adults, and parents/caregivers—cultivating warm, nonjudgmental spaces
for body-centered healing, resilience, and authentic expression.
