Meet Dr. William C. Washington, affectionately known as "Your Friendly Neighborhood Counselor Dr. Will." A trailblazer in the realms of psychology and music, Dr. Will stands at the forefront of what he calls the "Silver Age of Psychology." With a unique flair that blends rhythm with therapeutic insight, he has carved out a niche that celebrates the healing power of authenticity.

Dr. Will is a licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor, clinical hypnotherapist, and a distinguished Psychedelic-assisted therapist, specializing in integration methods using psychedelics for Experiential learning. As an Assistant Trainer for the Internal Family Systems Institute and a proud member of Black Therapists Rock, he’s devoted to mentoring the next generation of counselors. His innovative spirit shines through as a virtual reality therapist, where he has crafted immersive worlds that empower children to express themselves in a digital space. He also created his own healing modality called R.E.S.E.T., which is currently recognized within the music industry and adopted by Grammy Award-winning and nominated artists to support their healing as they work in intensive lifestyles. He is also on the Clinical Advisory Board of Backline Care, a dedicated mental health organization within the music industry.

Holding a Ph.D. in Health Psychology, Dr. Will dives deep into the waters of moral distress and recovery from secondary traumas — from burnout to compassion fatigue. He’s not just a thinker but a doer, advocating for improved healthcare provisions for mothers facing Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and authoring insightful studies on the emotional toll of the COVID-19 pandemic. He is beginning to coin the term "Secondary Healing." He spoke at the Master's Event at Oxford University, the largest trauma conference in Europe, about how to heal in community with some of the most prominent experts in psychology. He is a rising melody in the symphony of healing.

In addition to his psychological prowess, Dr. Will's musical journey is nothing short of remarkable. A virtuoso who has advanced himself over nine instruments, he’s performed with the celebrated afrofuturistic sound of Mourning [A] BLKstar and leads the energetic Da Land Brass Band in Cleveland, OH. His musical creations have graced esteemed venues like Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and The Kennedy Center, transcending borders to echo in places like Germany's Christoph Winkler Company. He currently creates healing spaces with Sacred Pulse.

Beyond his professional accolades, Dr. Will founded Viewunity, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering wellness among creatives, Games Culture, and advocating for inclusive spaces where creativity can flourish. Through streaming and gaming, he champions mental health while raising funds for children in hospitals.

As he often says, “Finding the blend of being Mind & Music, I have found that healing is my art.” Dr. Will's life is a symphony of healing, innovation, and artistry — a true testament to the belief that the most profound connections can be made when we express our truest selves.
