Kyle Lock, LPC
“Everybody has the capacity for change. The ability to enact change depends on the individual’s desire and motivation.”
Kyle is a newly Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bowling Green State University and his Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Heidelberg University. He is also Sanctuary Certified in trauma-informed care. For the past 10 years, Kyle has worked in community mental health, primarily providing case management services, which has allowed him to gain valuable experience supporting individuals through a wide variety of challenges.
In his counseling practice, Kyle primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused interventions. These approaches allow him to collaborate with clients in identifying their strengths, building practical skills, and creating strategies for lasting growth. His clinical focus includes grief counseling as well as working with individuals diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Kyle is passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, build on their strengths, and work toward meaningful change. He believes that everyone has the ability to become the best version of themselves each day, in whatever form that may take.
“We should always seek to explain, not excuse, the thoughts and behaviors that we have the power to improve.”
Outside of counseling, Kyle enjoys video games, writing, art, music, and videography—creative outlets that help him connect with others and maintain balance in his own life.
