Terrance Tufts, LPCC, NCC, EMDR
Terrance is a professional counselor from Cleveland, Ohio. His passion for mental health began in his senior year of high school where he took General Psychology. After learning of different concepts and theories, Terrance decided that he would become a counselor. He attended Kent State University and acquired his Bachelors in Psychology in 2012. He would move on to advancing his education by moving to Texas to attend the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where he studied Clinical Mental Health Counseling and earned his Masters in 2018.
Terrance is a seasoned mental health professional who holds independent licensure in the states of Texas (LPC) as well as Ohio (LPCC) for the last several years. His experience in various treatment settings in School-Based case management, Adult Day programs, Residential Treatment, and Private Practice make him quite versatile. He is also skilled in various therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Existential, and is trained in EMDR. He specializes in seeing clients who may struggle with anxiety, depression, Men’s issues, communication, and anger issues among others.
Terrance is a strong believer in taking a collaborative role when it comes to therapy. He believes that everyone has a unique story to tell. He enjoys self-care and encourages clients to always find a way to do so as it is the key to developing better well-being.
In his free time, Terrance enjoys weight training, video games, reading, being in nature, traveling, and watching anime and comedies. He is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a proud Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity, Incorporated. Currently, he is seeking Supervisor designation for his LPCC in order to assist up and coming clinicians to work in the field of mental health. Moreover, he is a doctoral student at Walden University.
